Senior Operations Sourcing Leader
Position Summary
The Senior Operations Sourcing Leader serves as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for assigned commodities in support of TECO-Westinghouse’s Annual Operating Plan and Strategic Initiatives. This role is responsible for developing and executing commodity strategies, managing supplier relationships, and partnering closely with internal stakeholders to drive operational and sourcing excellence.
The ideal candidate will lead sourcing analytics, supplier performance management, and the full procurement lifecycle, including RFx activities, purchase orders, and delivery execution. This position plays a key role in mitigating supply chain risks, improving supplier performance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned commodities in alignment with business objectives and strategic initiatives
- Build commodity plans and review strategies with key internal stakeholders
- Develop and implement cost models for key components and high-level assemblies
- Lead end-to-end supplier relationship management, including:
- Supplier identification and qualification
- Business awards and contract negotiations
- Supplier performance management related to quality, delivery, and cost
- Facilitate supplier technical engagement to improve product designs and manufacturing processes
- Establish best practices to identify, prevent, and address supply chain risks, including inflation, material shortages, and sole/single-source dependencies
- Drive all RFx activities and ensure purchase orders are accurately placed and confirmed
- Maintain accuracy and integrity of item and vendor master records
- Serve as the senior point of escalation for invoicing and supplier-related issues
- Communicate and negotiate demand changes with suppliers
- Ensure all engineering change notices (ECNs) affecting parts are properly communicated and implemented
- Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with strategic suppliers
- Consolidate and report team performance metrics
- Support continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration initiatives
- Maintain regular attendance and adherence to company policies and procedures

Scope & Interaction
This role requires frequent collaboration with internal departments to coordinate sourcing activities, support projects, and drive cost reduction initiatives. The position also involves regular communication and interaction with suppliers throughout the procurement lifecycle, including negotiations, issue resolution, and performance management.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university required; MBA preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of industry experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Electromechanical systems
- Electrical/electronics manufacturing
- Metal fabrication
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sourcing or supply chain management
- Experience developing and implementing cost models
- Strong analytical and results-driven background
- Experience managing supply chain risk and supplier performance processes
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
