Inventory Control & Analysis Specialist

TECO-Westinghouse Motor Company is seeking a data-driven and analytical Inventory Control & Analysis Specialist to support our Stock Products Business Unit. In this role, you'll help optimize inventory levels, improve forecasting accuracy, and ensure product availability while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
You'll work closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, Warehousing, Procurement, Finance, and Accounting to develop inventory strategies that support customer demand and business objectives. What You'll Do
- Manage inventory planning activities to ensure product availability while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
- Analyze historical sales, demand trends, market conditions, and replenishment activity to develop inventory recommendations.
- Monitor inventory performance and identify excess, obsolete, aging, or slow-moving inventory; recommend corrective actions to improve inventory health.
- Develop inventory movement strategies that reduce carrying costs, transportation expenses, and unnecessary inventory transfers.
- Prepare inventory forecasts, reports, and analytics to support operational and business decisions.
- Create and maintain dashboards, forecasting models, and analytical tools that provide visibility into inventory performance, forecast accuracy, fill rates, inventory turns, and service levels.
- Partner with Sales to position inventory strategically across distribution centers to support customer demand and revenue opportunities.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Operations, Procurement, Warehousing, Accounting, Finance, and Sales to align inventory strategies with business objectives.
- Coordinate with TECO manufacturing facilities to support replenishment and inventory availability.
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of inventory data across systems and reporting platforms.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory optimization, operational efficiency, and cost reduction.
- Assist in enhancing ERP/MRP processes, inventory management systems, and reporting capabilities.
- Maintain compliance with company safety policies, ISO 9001 quality standards, and all applicable company procedures.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- Minimum of two years of experience in inventory planning, demand planning, supply chain, data analysis, or a related operational role.
- Minimum of two years of experience collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Operations, Logistics, Procurement, or Warehousing.
- Experience using ERP systems; SAP experience is preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, data analysis, and reporting.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present data-driven recommendations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting inventory planning for multi-site warehouse or distribution operations.
- Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence and data visualization tools.
- Knowledge of inventory optimization, forecasting, replenishment planning, and warehouse operations.
- APICS certification or another supply chain certification is a plus.
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin or Spanish is preferred.
