SUMMARY
The Channel Manager is responsible for developing and managing relationships with distributors, resellers, and OEM partners to drive sales of electric motors and drive products. This role ensures strong channel performance through strategic planning, partner enablement, pricing management, and coordinated marketing efforts.
                                                                      
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Channel Development & Strategy
  • Build and execute channel sales strategy for assigned regions or product lines.
  • Work with the sales team to identify, recruit, and onboard new distribution partners and OEM accounts.
  • Partner Management
  • Develop strong relationships with channel partners to drive sales, product training, and joint marketing initiatives.
  • Monitor partner performance and ensure achievement of co-managed sales targets.
Sales Enablement
  • Provide training, tools, and product knowledge to empower channel partners.
  • Assist in quoting complex motor configurations and application-specific needs.
Forecasting & Reporting
  • Collaborate with sales operations to forecast channel demand.
  • Provide regular reports on the pipeline, partner performance, and market trends.
Marketing & Events
  • Coordinate with marketing to create channel campaigns, promotions, and tradeshows.
  • Support WEB Interface, technical documentation, and digital assets for partners.
Other Duties and Responsibilities –
  • Manage channel pricing strategies, discount structures, and ensure margin protection.
  • Compliance with all Company policies is required, including adherence to Company ISO 9001 Standards and compliance with Company Affirmative Action Plan and Company Safety procedures.
  • Any additional duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.

SCOPE, PURPOSE, AND FREQUENCY OF CONTACTS
The position requires daily contact with all levels of TWMC and customers, including Engineering, Marketing, Factory Operations, Supply Chain, Service, and Accounting.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in channel sales or distribution management.
  • Experience in industrial motors or electrical/mechanical products preferred.
  • Experience with CRM systems.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES 
  • Knowledge of NEMA/IEC motors, motor controls, and application engineering is a plus.
  • Knowledge of industrial motor applications and experience working within multi-tier distribution networks preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple partners across regions and market segments.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30–50%.

LANGUAGE SKILLS 
Respond to inquiries from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.  Communicate effectively in the presence of top management, customers, trade associations, and other public groups.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS 
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.  Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Identify a solution to a problem involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED
General supervision will be provided.  Must be a self-starter with the ability to work effectively and take ownership of assigned projects in a fast-paced environment.
