TECO-Westinghouse is seeking a Component Assembler II to assemble electric motor components and subassemblies used in world-class industrial products. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on manufacturing, precision work, and building high-quality equipment in a team-oriented environment.
What You'll Do
- Assemble electric motor components and subassemblies following engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, presses, and assembly equipment safely.
- Read and interpret blueprints, bills of materials, and production documents.
- Perform mechanical and electrical assembly, including bearings, rotors, stators, housings, shafts, and wiring.
- Inspect completed assemblies to ensure quality and proper fit.
- Conduct basic functional testing and visual inspections.
- Maintain accurate production documentation.
- Support Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
What We're Looking For
- Manufacturing or assembly experience preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and assembly drawings.
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to meet production schedules while maintaining high workmanship standards.
